The Da Vinci Code

"Men go to far greater lengths to avoid what they fear than to obtain what they desire."             Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code

The 'Da Vinci Code' is a mystery thriller novel by Dan Brown, and the second book of his most famous Robert Langdon series. Dan brown have aced in his usual forte of secret societies and semiotics. Even though the book was considered kind of blasphemic, it was rather taken up well by the readers across the globe. In this fast-paced thriller Dan Brown takes the reader through deciphering clues in painting, architecture and books.

The story is about a cryptographer whose grandfather gets murdered and how she teams up with the symbologist Robert Langdon to unravel the world's best kept secret. The references of Knight Templar's, opus dei, Priory of Sion and much more keeps the reader on the edge of the seat. His outlook of Da Vinci's 'Last Supper' and his interpretation of 'Sangreal' was really interesting at least for me. It's must reader for people who would like to see things in a different perspective than the mainstream one. When compared to other Dan Brown novels like 'Origin'
and 'The Lost Symbol', the conclusion of Da Vinci Code was satisfying. Even Men go to far greater lengths to avoid what they fear than to obtain what they desire.though there is a movie version, I strongly felt the book version was much better presented and the details was explained in a more subtle way.
